Beard Club

No, not That beard club. This beard club. It's a film. A documentary. A moving picture, and a talkie to boot. Beard Club claims to "examine the social politics of facial hair." Or more simply "the state of being badass." Go to their website, check out the trailer, see a showing, or send them a donation. SweetBeard loves beards in media. See Beard Club, then join Dollar Beard Club. A winning combination.

Bearded Gospel Men

Oh, Tumblr what a strange thread you weave into the web. An unusual beard update popped up on the beard feed this morning. It looked a bit too vintage to be a mobile update, and it had a curious BGM logo in the bottom right. Sweet Beard isn't a fan of ripping off others' work, so naturally we investigated.

Imagine our surprise when we discovered another pogonotrophic evangelist blog. SweetBeard has its own form of evangelism, but we won't fault another site* for doing it a bit differently. So if you get a chance, check out Bearded Gospel Man for a dose of classic and contemporary beardery, as well as sound medical advice** like that pictured.
* As long as it involves beards.
**Probably not really.

From Beard to Beer and Back Again

Sweet Beard + Rogue Brewery = New Crustacean Ale
Beer has long complemented the beard, but that friendly combination has for too long been a one way relationship. That is until now. You may know Rogue Brewery for their fine libations such as Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale or Dead Guy Ale, but they also know a thing or two about beards. And math. And beard beer math. Look, it's all quite well-documented in the highly scientific schematic above, and in Rogue Brewery News. We look forward to a pint or five of New Crustacean when it becomes available in 2013. If this doesn't give the pogonotrophic home brewer ideas, I don't know what will. I might not be throwing trimmer clippings into my next batch, but we can't use US-05 forever.
